Thank you to everybody who turned up for today’s Cycle to School, and to those who supported from the side lines! Thankfully the sun came out for us so we had a lovely wee run in to school. A special shout out to the fabby P7s who showed up for their last ever Cycle to School- especially after the excitement of their amazing show yesterday.
Thank you to the parents and families for the support through the year. We really couldn’t run the cycles without you all.
We’ll resume in August and will confirm the date in the new term. Happy holidays when they come. 😊
The Edinburgh Cycling Festival is on, so what better way to celebrate than to join in on our Cycle to School! Our last cycle of the school year- where has the time gone?
We look forward to seeing you there 😊
Our next Cycle to School will take place on Friday 31 May.
If you are thinking about joining us for the first time, we meet at Kings Buildings from 8:15 ready to depart at 8:20. From there we head down Mayfield Road picking up pupils and families from the adjoining streets and turn off from Causwayside onto Sciennes Road towards school. All are welcome 😊
We’re hoping to squeeze one final cycle in before the end of term, but will likely aim to have it a little earlier to avoid the last day of term. Details to be confirmed.
See you in a few weeks.
A big thank you to everybody who braved the rain to join us on our Cycle to School last Friday in support of PoP. It’s great to see how confident the kiddies are in the peloton and on the roads; such a positive start to the day.
Our next Cycle will take place on Friday 31 May. See you all there 😊
Our next Cycle to School will take place on Friday 26 April and will run in support of Pedal on Parliament as one of the PoP events. Arrangements are as normal: meet at Kings Buildings for an 8:20 departure. We look forward to seeing you all there.
A huge thank you to everybody who turned up for today’s Cycle to School. We had a fantastic turnout of around 140 pupils and parents, which is amazing. Thanks also to the children and families who support from the sidelines- we love your encouragement!
There’s a fab video of the cycle in this tweet with some really positive comments in the thread. Worth a look if you get the chance- see if you can spot yourself!
We’ll take a wee break during the winter months but don’t let that stop you cycling to school. Just make sure you remember to make yourself seen with brightly coloured clothing and lights on your bike.
Thanks again for your ongoing support,
